NAME --------------------- Webguy

DATE ---------------------- 11/26 and 11/28

TIMES --------------------- 10am-2pm

CONDITIONS ------------- Rain(Fri.),Sunny(Sun.), windy both days but comfortable

AREA FISHED ------------- Weed lines of main lake

FISHING METHOD ------- Live bait

BAIT/LURES USED ------- Shiners

NOTES --------------------- No herring to be had so went with shiners. Water temp was around 37 degrees (ice fishing soon?). Friday, got an 18 inch walleye and 3 yellow perch. Sunday caught a nice fat 27 inch 4lb. 13oz. pickerel on my ultralight tackle, couldn't weigh it in because the weigh stations were closed, and a couple more perch. The lake is real quiet with only a few boats on the water, just the way I like it.

CONDITIONS ------------- Windy and cold

AREA FISHED ------------- Chestnut Point and Sunken Island

NOTES --------------------- Webguy and I started at Chestnut point and picked up a few yellow perch and a decent largemouth. We moved to Sunken Island and got more perch and a couple walleye (larger one was 22 inches, 3-1/2 lbs.). A total of ten fish for the day. We went for a ride an an amphibious car (1966 German Ampficar) at the state park with one of Webguy's buddies. You should have seen peoples faces when we drove down the ramp, into the lake, and away!!!

CONDITIONS ------------- Overcast, cool, and windy

AREA FISHED ------------- Bedbug Island

FISHING METHOD ------- Live bait

BAIT/LURES USED ------- Herring

NOTES --------------------- Perch seem to be the active species (caught 3) but also got a largemouth and a chain pickerel. The water is in the 40's and except for the wind the lake is pretty calm.

NAME --------------------- Jim Archambault

DATE ---------------------- 11/6 & 7

TIMES --------------------- 10am-3pm both days

CONDITIONS ------------- Sat. warm - Sun. windy and cool

AREA FISHED ------------- Elba Point to Bertrand Island

FISHING METHOD ------- Sat. trolling - Sun. live bait

BAIT/LURES USED ------- Rapalas, Phoebes, and herring

NOTES --------------------- Saturday was a beautiful day with warm sun but a little windy. Trolling along the shoreline, I boated 2 pickerel and a yellow perch, all in all a little slower than I had expected. Sunday was very windy and cool. I couldn't see battling the wind so I anchored up out of the wind by Elba Point and used herring. I caught a 20 inch walleye, a 23 inch pickerel and 2 yellow perch. I tried jigging for the first time with herring and caught the walleye and a perch, I think I'll be jigging more often, especially now that the water temperature is below 50 degrees.
