KDC Fishing Report
For March 1999

     During the last week of March club president Lou Marcucci spoke with some of the club's members that have been out fishing lately and they had this to say;
     Dom Sarinelli reports water temperature in the Landing area is in the high 40's. He has been catching largemouth bass and crappie in that area. Jessie DeFalco caught a 3-1/4lb. largemouth bass and a pickerel almost as large, off Bertrand's Island. Jim DiSilvestro reports that two large muskies, both probably over 10lbs., broke him off at the boat by River Styx Bridge this week. Jim is now searching for his large Mepps spinner and a jointed fire tiger Rapala.

NAME --------------------- Vern

DATE ---------------------- 3/28

TIMES --------------------- 7 - 10am

CONDITIONS ------------- Overcast and windy

AREA FISHED ------------- By State Park in 6-8 ft of water

FISHING METHOD ------- Trolling

BAIT/LURES USED ------- Stick-baits

NOTES --------------------- A couple of perch hit small stick-baits in the shallows. The water level is to the top of the dam and the water temp is up to about 45 deg.F but the wind was killing me! I motored up-wind and let it push me back to lake's end drift-trolling using the electric to steer. I wish I could have been out on saturday, what a beautiful day!
