CONDITIONS ------------- Windy & Mild 65 Deg.
AREA FISHED ------------- Main Lake Weedlines
FISHING METHOD ------- Slip Bobbers & Live Line
BAIT/LURES USED ------- Herring
NOTES --------------------- I've been reduced to not telling where I fished as it seems no one else likes to share this information. However, we had a good trip pulling in 6 walleyes all over 2Lbs. including one 5 pounder and a 4 pounder. Fishing seemed to be on and off going 20 Min. without a bite and then having 2 or 3 on at a time. 15 - 20 feet of water (just off the bottom) seemed to be the right depth. Can't wait for the next tourney..... Lets get a few more fishing report posts, I'd like to know how others are doing.....

DATE ---------------------- 9/9-10
TIMES --------------------- Sat.4pm-noon Sun.
CONDITIONS ------------- Mostly cloudy
AREA FISHED ------------- All over
FISHING METHOD ------- Live bait
BAIT/LURES USED ------- Herring
NOTES --------------------- The KDC striper contest started with rain but stopped shortly after and was a pretty good night. The fishing seemed to start slow but picked up late at night and early morning. No stripers in my boat but they were being caught and to place in the contest it looked like it had to be over 7 pounds. I caught some decent fish like a 26 inch pickerel, a 23 inch walleye, and I lost a huge largemouth bass at the boat when it jumped, it looked like a 4 to 5 pound football. Total catch was 20 fish (11 catfish, 4 walleye, 3 yellow perch, and 2 pickerel).

TIMES --------------------- 7pm-12:30am
CONDITIONS ------------- partly cloudy--little wind
AREA FISHED ------------- main lake--coves
FISHING METHOD ------- drifting
BAIT/LURES USED ------- nightcrawlers
NOTES --------------------- We were out of the house by 7:00 pm. We started the night with a 1 1/2 lb. Walleye which I had caught. My dad caught about 5 Blue Gill, 5 White Perch, 2 crappies, and I caught 2 small Channel Cats along with many blue gills and a few white perch . We called it night at 12:00 am. We docked at about 12:20 am. As my dad tied up the boat, I took my last cast. As soon as my line hit the water, the water exploded! I caught a 2 lb. 1 oz, 17 inch Brown Trout. No Stripers were caught for the contest, but we still had a great night. Although there was no tag on the trout, it seemed to be one that the KDC had stocked for the trout contest. This trout proved that there still are big trout in the lake.

There we caught a few more catfish, then the king nailed another 4 3/4 Lb. Walleye at around 8AM before fishing slowed down. Just as we were ready to leave, lucky Toby hooked & landed a 6Lb. Striper on a slip bobber at 20 feet.... When all was said and done, the king landed 17Lbs. of fish, followed by Toby with 10Lbs. and the scrub TC trailing the pack with a measly 3Lb. total catch....
