2009 Channel Catfish Stocking
On Sunday, December 6, the Knee Deep Club of Lake Hopatcong stocked 2,600 6 to 8 inch Channel Catfish into Lake Hopatcong. The club shore stocked starting at Lee's County Park then moved on to the Windlass Restaurant and Dow's Boat Rental until all of the fish were released. This was the fifth time the club has stocked Channel Catfish in Lake Hopatcong. The Division of Fish & Wildlife also stock the lake with Channel Catfish raised at it's Hackettstown Hatchery. During the last Five years the number and size of these fish being caught have increased because of these stockings.
