NOTES --------------------- Take A Kid Fishing! I decided to take my friends son Jules out with me today. I had asked him a few other time to go but he said it wasn't his thing. After I showed him some of the nice stripers and walleyes I had been catching he said OK. The morning only produced 1 small yellow perch and the wind picked up with white caps. We went to a sheltered cove for an hour and I noticed the wind died down a little. So we went back to the Great Cove and double anchored again. We caught a 5 lb. 8 oz. walleye and a 6 lb. striper which I let The 10 year old reel in. What a blast seeing a kid land 2 N.J. Junior Skillful Angler Award qualifying fish back to back.

Pickeral caught on jig and pig and bass caught on jerk bait, grub, and drop shot. Caught one huge yellow perch on a jerk bait. Allot of real small perch up shallow but never connected with a good school. Got to see Dante the Musky king trolling. Dante I was the guy in the red bass boat. I hope you caught em. All in all a great day to be out on the water. Woodport area was very slow. Amazing how once you went under the bridge the water temp dropped.
