CONDITIONS ------------- Sunny and breezy
AREA FISHED ------------- Chestnut pt, Pickerel pt, Sharps rocks and Elba pt
WATER TEMPERATURE-- 49 deg
FISHING METHOD ------- Jigging
BAIT/LURES USED ------- Binskys and Gotchas
NOTES --------------------- Captain Joe aboard the "Shut Up and Fish" invited me to go fishing before he pulled his boat out of the water for the winter. We started off slow outside of Lee's Cove near Chestnut Pt. I caught a large weed and Joe caught a big rock. After a long fight with the rock we decided to move where the drift wouldn't be so fast and the fish where more plentiful. We went across the Lake off shore of Pickerel Pt. and started a long drift from Pickerel Pt to Sharps Rocks. Fishing was much better as we caught many more rocks. But, at least I didn't lose my Binsky. However, Joe made a donation of his Gotcha near Sharps Rock. We were doing great when all of a sudden two crazed water skiers in wet suits and no skis decided to pass by. They both dropped near us and I think I passed a comment to Joe that maybe we should throw them an anchor or something, after all they scared all the fish away. Fishing wasn't the best but it was great to drift around on Lake Hopatcong on a sunny day to end another great season.

CONDITIONS ------------- sunny, light winds
AREA FISHED ------------- chestnut, nolan's, bonapartes points
WATER TEMPERATURE-- 50degrees
FISHING METHOD ------- jigging, drifting
BAIT/LURES USED ------- fish sense blade baits
NOTES --------------------- i had a pretty unique day on the lake today. started out in the morning jigging off the points in about 35 to 50 feet of water using rapalas with only a couple of stripers, can't complain but what happened next is pretty funny. was fishin at bonaparte point and saw 2 guys in a ranger bass boat knockin the hell out of the walleye. started talking to them, " what are you using" they said fish sense blade bait. i make them and distribute them. i'm fishing all over the country testing them out. this is my first time at this lake. i said "can i buy one off of you". no, but you can have one. Great!! sterted fishing with the lure and smoked the walleye, and also fished in shallower water between 20 and 25 feet. some things happen for a reason. ordered more from the website.
