AREA FISHED ------------- Near Dow's, Yacht Club, River Styx and the J House.
WATER TEMPERATURE-- ?
FISHING METHOD ------- 5 rods with slip bobbers
BAIT/LURES USED ------- Herring
NOTES --------------------- I began the night off Dow's. Got one hit which spooled me. I didn't get any bites at the Yacht Club or in River Styx. About 2:00 AM, I settled in at the J House and put out 5 rods with herring under slip bobbers. About 4:30 AM Kevin Kennedy called over and woke me with a call "Hey Fella, you got a fish on!". All of my lines were crossed and even the reels were messed up. I brought the lines in hand over hand and finally netted the largest catfish I had ever caught. Dreams of a 1st Place finish or a club record were soon shattered when I learned that a 17lb. 7oz. Cat had just been weighed in! Congratulations to Jeff Good!

AREA FISHED ------------- between Halsey Island and Racoon; Byram Bay
WATER TEMPERATURE-- ?
FISHING METHOD ------- Minnows and lures
BAIT/LURES USED ------- Minnows
NOTES --------------------- Started off really slow. Using worms could not even get a bite. Bought minnows and live lining drifting between Racoon and Halsey Island in about 20 feet of water caught nice 16 inch small mouth and then about 12 incho large mouth. Boats drove me off around 11:30 am and then went to Byram after lunch and hooked into a very large walleye fishing the weed edges on a sinking silver rapalla and lost it at the edge of the boat when I was ready to net it.
