FISHING METHOD ------- live bait
BAIT/LURES USED ------- live herring
NOTES --------------------- Unfortunately, my last day on the lake, water level at my dock is too low to keep the boat in. Last day but what a day to close my season. Again, it started slow but it picked up later on. I ended up with 1 smallmouth, about 5-6 small catfish, 6 stripers (3 landed, 3 lost, landed ones were 2, 4 and 6lbs)and 2 walleyes, 20 and 22". Can't wait till next spring already... Good luck to all late fall and ice anglers.

FISHING METHOD ------- live bait
BAIT/LURES USED ------- live herring
NOTES --------------------- Started slow but it quickly turned into Striper MADNESS. They were everywhere and hitting like it was their last meal before winter. I had few cases where I got hits on two rods almost at the same time. Landed 6 stripers: 3, 4, 6, 6, 7, and 8,5lbs. The last one was submitted to KDC. Lost several more.
Went out last nigth for about 5 hours and all I got was a 2lbs catfish that grabbed my herring almost as soon as it hit the water. What a change of pace...

FISHING METHOD ------- Anchor
BAIT/LURES USED ------- Herring/fishfinder rig
NOTES --------------------- Fished in 29 ft of water off the Yacht Club and only got one hit till 6:30. Then it broke wide open with multiple poles going off at the same time. Fished herring at all depths but the ones fished on the bottom were the most productive. Landed 11 cookie cutter stripers, all around 3-4 lbs, and 3 catfish. Broke off on a much bigger fish that we never saw. Watched a herring that I thought was dead get mauled on the surface by a giant muskie right off the side of the boat. It was awesome. The last 3 times out that has been the hotspot for smaller stripers with an ocasional big one mixed in. Just as the fishing starts to pick up, gotta pull the boat. Good luck. Switching over to deer mode till we get some ICE...
P.S. I SEE ALOT OF GUYS OUT FISHING AND I DONT SEE ANY REPORTS POSTED ANYMORE. I KNOW ALOT OF YOU GUYS ARE KDC MEMBERS AND ALL FISHERMAN SO ITS COOL TO SEE WHATS GOIN ON OUT THERE FROM YOUR REPORTS. SO LETS GET SOME REPORTS GOIN... I WILL DO THE SAME.
