NAME --------------------- Jeff T and Andy G

E-MAIL --------------------- trx450pro@yahoo.com

DATE ---------------------- 10/20/06

TIMES --------------------- 1-4 pm

CONDITIONS ------------- 25-30 mph gusts to 45 NE Rain and sun

AREA FISHED ------------- North of yacht club

WATER TEMPERATURE-- 57.1

FISHING METHOD ------- herring

BAIT/LURES USED ------- fishfinder w/ herring

NOTES --------------------- Cancelled work and could honestly say I think we were the only ones fishing on the lake today. Crazy conditions on the south side of the lake but pretty calm tight to shore on north side. Probably 2-4 foot chop southside. Perfect conditions for the new boat, stayed dry and comfortable the whole time. Anchored north of yacht club in 21 ft and actually caught fish till we finally lost anchor. Caught 2 small stripers and missed a couple other good hits. Andy fought something big but lost it right before we could get a look. Large shredded herring came up instead... Insane weather but pretty cool to be the only one on the lake. Gonna give it hell this weekend. JT

CONDITIONS ------------- windy & cool

AREA FISHED ------------- main lake points

WATER TEMPERATURE-- warmer than the air

FISHING METHOD ------- still fishing

BAIT/LURES USED ------- mini-herring

NOTES --------------------- Action was better then in most contest years, but the fish were small like the bait. Got on the board a few times only to get knocked off almost immediately. Ended up boating 20 fish - 4 largemouth, 2 smallmouth, 1 walleye, 9 perch, 3 crappie and 1 rockbass. Lots of rude bass boaters out there. Congrats to the KING! P.S.- Where were the pickeral?

DATE ---------------------- 10/14/06

TIMES --------------------- 2:00 PM

CONDITIONS ------------- Windy

AREA FISHED ------------- Yacht Club in 20ft

WATER TEMPERATURE-- To Cold to Swim In

FISHING METHOD ------- Live Bait

BAIT/LURES USED ------- 1.5 inch herring

NOTES --------------------- Chris and I started the day off bad. Developed engine trouble at 6:00AM and didn't get fishing until 9:30AM. The gas with new additive isn't good for outboards with oil mix. Get (blue) additive at Dows. In any case, we began to fight the wind at 9:30AM. Every time we anchored the wind seem to change direction. We went for 5 hours before catching anything worth the time, but what a fish. Chris landed a 38 inch full strain muskie. I went to net the beast and it ate it's way through my net leaving a 1 foot hole. Now how do your land a muskie with a net around the line? That's right, while Chris fought the log with teeth, I had to pass the net through and over the rod Chris was holding. Only Fish For The Day, but made the entire day worth our wind burn.
