BAIT/LURES USED ------- herring,rapalas
NOTES --------------------- In the morning of the contets I was planning to troll the main lake. What a shutdown.Between the weeds and no fish I had high doubts for good results for trout. Then I decided to try bait. I drifted great cove a couple times and got 5 crappie, 1 pickeral, 1 beauty bass, 1 Rainbow trout. The trout was small. Then a couple hours later i decided to troll. I threw one line out and then the other the first one had a fish on. Reeled the fish in and was a nice Rainbow, long and skinny. The fish weighed at 1lb 5oz 16inch. Trolled some more and totaled 4 trout all day. The trout made 3rd place in the contest.very suprised no bigger trout were caught.Congrats to all the winners in the contest.

NOTES --------------------- 5/10 Started great found fish in byram in deep water. Caught 5 lost 5 and had many missed strikes. All fish on flat lines. No other trout bites anywhere else. Caught 2 crappies by brady. Hooked a 30lb musky and had it at the boat. While I was deciding what to do it got off. Thank god had a rubber net and don't think it would fit. 5/11 Early fished every cove from byram to sharps rocks and only caught 1 trout on the rigger at 5 ft. From sharps rocks to the yacht club I caught 5 trout and missed 3 more. Most on phoebes and all but the one on flat lines.
