NOTES --------------------- One of the good days. Caught 4 Hybrids (2 to 5lbs) and 2 Walleyes, the biggest 22". Lost a really big Hybrid at the net (probably 8+), and had a bunch of hits that I missed. They were hitting very softly. There were another 6 boats fishing the area, and everybody caught fish, including a 4lb+ smallmouth, a nice size Channel and some big Crappie. It was a good fishing day for everybody who bundled up and got out there.

NOTES --------------------- Pictured below is the body of a fish that washed-up on the beach at the County Park. Early this year Ed Mackin & Jim Welsh attempted to net a fish that Ed was fighting but could not as the fish broke Ed off, they discribed the fish pictured. Fish & Wildfife has been called. Webguy's Note (thanks to Fat Boy!): It appears to be a Pacu, a vegetarian relative of the piranha. They are popular in with aquarium owners and get quite large, so much so that it probably out grew the tank and the owner released it into the wild. They are sensitive to colder temperatures as are piranha so they won't last long in cool water temperatures. Also called a freshwater pompano.
