NOTES --------------------- Started off slow. Toward the end of the day we caught 1-Perch, 1-Pickerel (24"), and just before leaving we caught 1-Pickerel (26", 5-lbs) not bad! At least that is what we were told by another fisherman who frequents the area. We had a great time, and plan to return this coming weekend to fish the Pickerel Point area in an effort to explore the deeper water. Can't Wait !!!

NOTES --------------------- We started out with a dozen guys and about 40 Tip-Ups, by 5PM there were only five of us left with one tip-up each in the water. By 5:30 we pulled our last tip-up and were of the ice by six. John Fernandez and Joey Williamson had the only two Walleye we caught, 18 and 19 inches. We also had about half dozen Perch.

NOTES --------------------- Fished Lake Hopatcong Sat. Jan. 24 from 7 am to 1 pm. Caught 45 yellow perch to 11-12 inches and 35 bluegill to adult hand size. Bite was on the whole time. Fish scattered in 7 feet of water. Used jig and waxworm. Ice is 7 to 8 inches thick, little thinner under snow drifts.

NOTES --------------------- Tried to get out of the wind in Davis Cove, It wasn't that bad. Caught several perch on jigs and tips-ups, nothing real big. We have several guys that are fishing the Ridge tomorrow for Walleye, we are meeting at 3PM at the Mt. Arlington Beach, if your available, your welcome.

NOTES --------------------- The day started good and petered out from there. A couple of perch,small muskie,short pickeral. A guy a couple of yards away pulled a 46 inch (approx.25lbs.) true strain muskie on a tip-up. They cut 3 holes to get her in. The fight was probaly 10 minutes.

NOTES --------------------- Lots of people out on the ice, 5-7 inches - black and hard. Jigging action was pretty slow (probably due to the clarity of the ice) with the occasional perch and the tip-ups caught some as well. Dave had a one pounder on one of his tip-ups and bunch of bass were caught up to 2-1/2 lbs. and several pickerel with the biggest at 25-1/2 inches weighing 4lb.5oz.
