NOTES --------------------- I tried to do this;

fish-on

but all I saw was this;

Dead swan

Over a dozen dead swans scattered along the shoreline. I started at the top of the EMERGENCY INFO list on our site and made the calls. The Hopatcong Borough picked up four and gave them to the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife. The state's pathologist has concluded that a flatworm infestation named sphaeridiotrema globulus (similar to heart worm) has caused their deaths by the consumption of infected snails. Similar deaths occured in Lake Musconetcong in 1977 and are of natural origins.
