CONDITIONS ------------- Cloudy & breezy
AREA FISHED ------------- Great Cove, Henderson Bay & Halsey to Racoon Islands
FISHING METHOD ------- Trolling
BAIT/LURES USED ------- Rapalas
NOTES --------------------- With the water temps down to around 70 degrees, I decided it was time to go after the Muskies. Jim (The Gorton Man) hooked into, but lost a small one at the boat in Henderson Bay. It was good to have Jim Di back in the boat, after his short stint in the hospital. At 8:20, while trolling through the mouth of Great Cove, I landed a real good looking 34" barred True Srain (CPR). Then at around 12:15, it was the Gorton Man's turn. He hooked into and landed a 35" barred True Srain (CPR). I hope that this is an indication that the fall Muskie fishing will be exciting.

NOTES --------------------- Was a pretty good day. Not very many boats out. Between us we got around 30 fish. A lot of perch and pickerel. Picked up 2 small walleye by Brady Bridge. Hooked a couple small bass and some of the best fighting weeds in New Jersey! The 2 biggest pickerel were lost at the boat. What else is new! Not very many big fish, all were of average size. But the action was pretty steady and made for a great day!
