TIMES --------------------- 2 pm - 5 pm

CONDITIONS ------------- calm

AREA FISHED ------------- chestnut point

FISHING METHOD ------- jigging

BAIT/LURES USED ------- jigs

NOTES --------------------- Landed 8 stripers 5lbs to 7lbs 6oz all fish were in 43 ft of water about 10 ft off the bottem. We got more stripers this month than we did all summer trolling. We saw Lou and gave him a few pointers to try to help him out, but it was helpless. After we landed 4 fish Lou left and then we put 4 more in the boat. We can't wait till December to see if we can top this months catch. There is still time to place in the standings and we are going to try.

The highlight of the day was a very large true strain muskie ( the first one I've ever seen, not counting Catch Corner) that I had right up to the dock where he broke off. I was using 8lb test and 4.0 hooks w/ a large shiner. I guess I was lucky to get a look at him. I'll be ready next time.

NAME --------------------- Les and Shawn Aughey

DATE ---------------------- 11/18/01

TIMES --------------------- 12 pm - 3 pm

CONDITIONS ------------- little wind - 50's

AREA FISHED ------------- anywhere offshore we could get a line in

FISHING METHOD ------- casting

BAIT/LURES USED ------- spinners,top water,worms

NOTES --------------------- We started our day by the docks by flash marina. Shawn landed a couple of perch while I went for a cup of tea.The tea seemed to weigh more than the fish, so we went to about a thousand more places off shore. We finally ended up by our old faithful spot, the San Bar Marina. After many battles with ferocious sunny's, Shawn finally hooked up with the ONLY rainbow trout caught so far this year in the lake between us. So, we weighed it in by Buck'n'Bass. It was a whopping 6oz.(what do you expect for a state stocked fish in the middle of November)but still enough to place in the year long contest.Although we didn't catch any monster fish,it still beats yard work!!!

DATE ---------------------- 11/17/01

TIMES --------------------- 2:00pm - 5:30pm

CONDITIONS ------------- seasonal, light wind

AREA FISHED ------------- Elba Point

FISHING METHOD ------- Spinning tackle

BAIT/LURES USED ------- Shiners

NOTES --------------------- My buddies, Andy and Gary, and myself fished with two rods a piece from the Ol' dock. No fish at all until about 4:00pm. We got four big walleye, one of which was our biggest of the year- looked to be about 6lbs - a very fat specimen. We also got a bunch of perch and a small largemouth. This was not the first time that the fish turned on all at once and then stopped jsut as quickly. - there seems to be no ryme or reason to it.

The fish was weighed and handled in a cradle and not brought into the boat(so as to minimize stress). Both fish were pure-strains and came from the same spot on the main-lake side of Pickerel Point in 35 feet of water. THE FISH WAS RELEASED!
