CONDITIONS ------------- a.m.-miserable & windy p.m.still windy but bearable
AREA FISHED ------------- Lake Forest Yacht Club
FISHING METHOD ------- tip ups
BAIT/LURES USED ------- shiners
NOTES --------------------- Missed the early morning blitz, had one flag all morning, just as we were setting up.Conditions were so windy it was almost impossible to even get set. Deciding to move our gear I asked Marlena to start pulling up the lines we had out while I drilled new holes. As she pulled the first one in, she shrieked so loud that all of woodport heard it.Honestly, I thought she got stuck by a hook.At the other end of the line was a 25.5" 4.5lb. pickerel. The flag never went up because the reel was frozen.Congrats Marlena on her first fish. The rest of the afternoon was busy with 3 more pickerel,1 bass,a bunch of misses and a bite off.Thanx Kevin for picking the spot and Pat for the creature comforts. Can not wait for Feb. 4th.!

CONDITIONS ------------- windy & cold
AREA FISHED ------------- Liffy Island near Sportsmans Cove
FISHING METHOD ------- Tip-ups
BAIT/LURES USED ------- shiners
NOTES --------------------- We had a lousy day fishing in 5 - 10 ft. Caught a few pickeral and perch early (nothing over 2 1/2 Lbs.) Then it slowed and no fish were caught from 10AM - 3PM except one 3LB. bass toward the end of the day. Saw a lot of guys in front of the Lake Forest Yacht Club but I'm not sure how they did. Why not have another Ice Tourney this year? We finally have some good ice. Drop some E-mails and ask KDC if they would do this....P.S. Where are all the monster pickeral being caught?
