CONDITIONS ------------- Wind 20 to 30 MPH in the Am then slowed to 10 to 15
AREA FISHED ------------- River Styx side of Chestnut Point
WATER TEMPERATURE-- Frozen
FISHING METHOD ------- Tip-ups and jigs tipped with Mousies
BAIT/LURES USED ------- Medium shiners from Dow's
NOTES --------------------- I almost canceled the trip due to high winds but decided to haul the tent out for shelter. It was a slow day we managed 13 Yellow Perch and a few nice pickerel. The pickerel in the picture could not be weighed in because it was dark by the time we made it back to Dow's. The largest pickerel was taken on a glow jig.

NOTES --------------------- A very cold morning of 7 degrees when we hit the lake. No wind so it was bearable. Warmed up once the sun was up. I was actually sweating from chasing flags all day. We caught a mixed bag of fish 3 Bass, 3 Bluegill, 4 White Cats,7 Pickerel, 6 Crappie,11 Perch and 1 nice Channel Cat about 4 lbs. 2 Crappie were huge 13 inches and 15 inches I am submitting it for the NJ Skillful Angler award catch and release. Chris and Bam did the jigging as I tended to the tip-ups.

FISHING METHOD ------- Tip-Ups
BAIT/LURES USED ------- Shiners
NOTES --------------------- Figured we would try a new spot so we didn't fish our contest spot tomorrow. Had been a while since we had been in the Woodport area. Fished out in the middle in about 5-7 feet of water. Was a slower pick but was nice fishing in the snow. All together we totaled around 15 perch, 1 largemouth, 1 brown cat, a baby tiger Muskie and many small pickerel.
