TIMES --------------------- 10:30 pm-9:30am
CONDITIONS ------------- Mostly calm, seasonal
AREA FISHED ------------- Most of the lake
WATER TEMPERATURE-- 67-68 surface temp
FISHING METHOD ------- Mostly top water lures
BAIT/LURES USED ------- Bombers, Crystal Minnow, Rattlin Rapala-then herring in am
NOTES --------------------- Except for a couple of 1/2 hr periods we didn't hear much top water noise. Fished Chestnut, Byram Bay, Byram Cove & The Yacht club. Landed our first 18" Walleye about 3 am while tree crews were cutting wood in the Byram Cove area, probably JCP&L crews doing repairs for tree downed wires. Strange loud noise at 3 am for the community. An hour later our biggest was landed........24 1/2" brute Walleye. A 20+" pickerel & a 17" Hybrid were all caught on lures. We had a couple of takes (smaller fish) and misses on herring in the am and about 9:30 something (big Hybrid) started spooling and was hooked but while the net was waiting it shook the hook. 11 hours on the water. Nice weather for a change.

TIMES --------------------- 9am till 2pm
CONDITIONS ------------- cloudy, cool, windy out of south east
AREA FISHED ------------- great cove, between the ilsands, byram cove
WATER TEMPERATURE-- 70
FISHING METHOD ------- anchored with bait, lures, jigs
BAIT/LURES USED ------- herring, rapalas and small jigs
NOTES --------------------- Tough fishing conditions with a stiff south wind, and except for a few rock bass, really no action. Finally got a decent hit around 1:00 and landed a 5lb 5oz Walleye, and 20 minutes later got another a few ounces shy of 4lbs. So what looked like a crappy day turned out pretty good.
